Moringa / Drumstick Tree is a tree they used to make drumsticks out of, and the Watershed in the case of my hometown Jerusalem, is the place on the ridge where the rain splits into diferent rivers but more symbolically it 'decides' whether to flow to the desert and the Dead Sea or to the woods and the Mediterranean, this is for me what this music is shaped around. The tree, the wind, the waters. The choice and the chane.

It was recorded on a rainy foggy two day session under the beautiful care of Ori Kadishay at Mazkeka Studios, not to far from Jerusalem's watershed

David Michaeli is one of my dearest friends and such an incredible sound maker, I'm so happy with how he sounds on this album and how he shaped the low end of the music like an ancient vivid tree.

Peyton Pleninger and I became close friends in my last 3 months in new york (after knowing eachother for a couple of years), he used to come every morning to play for hours and drink coffee on the roof and on the way to the airport, back to Israel we started talking about him coming to visit. we spoke a month later and he said, I'm coming man, but if I'm flying over we must record. did'nt take much convincing but I owe him for the bluntness and for him being so passionate about music, and such a fierce sound maker.

Milton Michaeli is such a unique person and an amazing improviser and I'm so happy to feature him on this album.
